Nosseir is an Egyptian figurative painter, who lived in Paris and Buenos Aires. His favourite toys are oil on canvas or paper ; drawings on pure cotton paper ; and drawings on iPad Pro.
His images are unapologetically sinister, much like a certain reality. Or, we could say in reality, regrettably, but necessarily sinister, as beauty is.
Ahmed Nosseir (born in 1957 in Cairo) lives and works in Heliopolis, Cairo. he studied at the Fine Arts school in Cairo and at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Recent solo exhibitions include Peintures at Karim Francis (Cairo) ; A Retrospective at Nile Sunset Annex (Cairo). He got part in numerous group exhibitions since 1996, including at Skoto Gallery, New York; Mashrabia Gallery, Cairo.
