Danielle Raspini

Danielle Raspini trained at the Fine Arts of Macon then at the Ecole de Tissage in Lyon. This artist has her own way of approaching painting today. It makes use of the traditional dresses worn by the women of the country of Arles on special occasions. Thus, it brings to our ultra connected and contemporary society, a soothing break with a southern taste closer to our cultural roots. As our traditions tend to disappear, this artist reminds us how important these are, and if they belong to the past, they should, like in Japan, become part of our present and our future. Indeed, traditional cultures keep all human secrets and in particular that of knowing how to live together. She therefore reveals to us an image of femininity from another time, but which does not lose its charm. We can feel the influence of Japan and her love for fashion, from which she draws great poetry. By its realism, its delicate drawing with the confirmed technique and its luminous and shimmering colors, its style approaches hyperrealism or what one could define of a neo-Pre-Raphaelite.
