Self-taught, I look for the effects of materials, nuances of colors until I feel a state of fullness ... My painting seeks to tame the light through texture, color and the effects of materials. It is intuitively that I discovered painting. Sitting on the floor in my living room, I contemplate this large empty wall, above my red sofa. What if I played with the light? How could I hang it up, tame it?

It all starts from there.

I go to my garage, grab a plank of wood, paint, glue, plaster…. I knead, I shape. A little more material here, a little more space there. And this red! so alive, so hot, almost erotic, jumps in my face.

The movement stops. … I take stock. The aesthetic coherence pleases me, the emotion felt calms me.

I grab a second plank, and off we go….
