Denis Rivière

Denis Rivière is a French painter born in 1945 in Honfleur. He lives and works in Paris and in the Aisne. A painter of classical training, Denis Rivière expressed his interest in antiquity. A trip to Egypt made him want to retrace certain images in his own way. Denis Riviere, more recently, developed a passion for the subtleties offered by the skies. "My project was to draw up the observation of the sky, throughout the penultimate year of the century, from January 1, 1999 to January 1, 2000. Every day, at the time that seemed to me the most favorable, whatever be the quality of the weather and the place where I was, I painted the sky as I saw it. " Denis Rivière.
