France Born in: 1971
Born in 1971 in Paris, Freddish Papritz quickly joined the emerging urban movement that reinvents public spaces and makes room for the arrival of stencils, graffiti... Freddish joins different precursor "possees" as IZB, and participates actively in the creation of street culture.

In parallel to this work, he meets different artists and works as an assistant for Niki de St Phalle and Jean Tinguely. While woking for them them, he discovered many essential painters and sculptors in Europe and the United States.

Inspired by these artists and his previous experiences, he created his first street sculptures. He then creates the "Galerie de la rue" (Street Gallery) with several artists and presents his works, metal robots and animals in various exhibitions in France but also in West Africa. With Malachi Farrell, he started a company dedicated to organizing exhibitions for artists. After ten years of collaboration, Freddish quits his assistant jobs to develop his own character.

He then devotes all his time to urban art and creates various works for hip hop groups, or dance companies like Assassin, Hip Tap project. They accompany the artists during their concerts at the Olympia, the Cigale , the Grande Halle de Villette (concert venues in Paris). In parallel, the "Galerie de la rue" grows and has more and more performances occupying various public spaces, installing sculptures at roundabouts, on the side of roads etc.

He is spotted for the originality of his work and several institutions dedicated to contemporary art open their doors to him and exhibited Freddish's works. In 2006, he is one of the first street artists to take part in the Salon d'Automne. Since then, individually or with labels like Urban Roots, Freddish continues to create his own language, through his sculptures and paintings.
