Born in Paris in 1983, Truc-Anh studied at the Boulle School of Applied Arts in 2001. In 2007, he got his agrégation at the La Cambre National School of Visual Arts in Brussels (Belgium) as well as a post graduate diploma at the ECAL in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Winner of the Ernest Manganel Prize in Lausanne, in 2006, he was also a finalist for the Art'Contest Award 2007, in Brussels. In 2009, he won the Photo EuropaPrize and in 2013, his photographs of Ho Chi Minh City were selected for the New Delhi Photo Festival.

Represented by several international galleries, he had shows in Paris, Brussels, Roosendaal (The Netherlands), as well as in Ho Chi Minh City (Viet Nam), where he has been living since 2011.

His works have been acquired by many private and public collections, such as the Lausanne's Space for Contemporary Art and the Artist Pension Trust in Beijing (China).
