Olivier Anicet was born near Paris in 1973. He studied arts at the ESAM in Paris and the CFDAA. He lives and works in Paris. He published his first works in Radikal magazine, with themes from hip-hop and the urban scene.
Beyond design or illustration, Olivier Anicet's works take a different direction depending on the materials and media he uses. His support of choice is canvas; he uses paint, pencils, pastels and diverse pens, revealing the richness of an urban world in bright colors.
Olivier Anicet's works are snapshots of everyday life where meetings are magic, where realism flirts with the symbols of our time, where text and words become characters, where the city is made of samples of our lives. His works reach out to other cultures and other countries; his creations were shown in the traveling exhibition "Multicolor Wisdom", which led to the publication of postcards illustrating proverbs from different countries.
