Biography
Alexandre Akar is a French artist born in 1961; he lives and works in Gennevilliers. He graduated in architectural environment from the National Superior School of Applied Arts and Art Professions of Serres. Alexandre Akar's painting -with acrylic- is centred on the human figure, urbanism, and modern music. His painting is characterised by the vigor of the drawing and the colors. German impressionists, Matisse, Picasso and Pop Art, influence the artist, amongst others. Alexandre Akar expresses himself just as well on large formats as on walls, low reliefs, wooden objects, and sculptures of composite material. Alexandre Akar's was notably exhibited in France (Le Musée Privé Gallery, 2013; Montmartre's Artists place, 2009; The contemporary Art Market, 2013), in Germany (Sohle 1 Gallery, 2012), and in the United-States (SELECT, 2015; ARTEXPO, 2015). At the same time of being a painter, he realizes, as a plastic artist, a large number of punctual collaboration for events, and the design of interior and exterior spaces.
