Born in 2015 - France
Olivier Leroy was born in 1972, he lives and works in Brest.
A humanist photographer, Olivier Leroy is constantly on the lookout for a new story to tell. He uses his camera, like a writer uses a pen. Whether he is browsing the streets of Armenia or in the streets of Brest, he seeks for people who has had a lot of life experiences.
A look, a smile or a posture can say a lot about a person: "I look for a sign in their faces. I provoke the encounters, and go directly to the point."
He returns to cold reality, as well and mixes feelings by trying to identify the character of those who are facing their objective. Olivier Leroy particularly likes creating portraits of situations.
According to this photographer of humanity, this is how we can define his photographic approach:
"Humanist photography is an international photographic movement that brings together photographers whose common interest is the human being in his everyday life."
