Born in 1974 - France
Nicolas Canu is a French photographer, born in 1974 who lives and works in Ardennes, France. He graduated from the Superior School of Art and Design of Reims from the visual arts section in 1997.
Constantly exploring commemorative urban sites and their gradual deterioration with the passing of the years, Nicolas Canu pieces are always related to the concept of wasteland which he calls "rurbain". In his photographs, the landscapes and the apartments are empty of any presence but still have in them the resonance of the presence of those who used to live there.
Nicolas Canu takes photographs that are always very structured and perfectly composed, with stunning and candid perspectives.
