Presentation

Born in 1967 in Rennes, Cécile Guth is a French painter. She lives and works in Paris, close to Rambouillet.

She did her artistic training at the Beaux-Arts Paris then took lessons in cabinet making and sculpture in workshops. She's always looking for ways to improve, in 2010 she took drawing and painting lessons again at Vigne d'Estampes workshops. She joined Philippe Lejeune's classes, who was himself a student of Maurice Denis, who influenced the young painter.

Extremely sincere, Cécile Guth works everyday in order to improve her pieces depending on her own daily feelings. She pays a lot of attention to the general harmony of her paintings, with a well-thought association of colors and strokes.

In a figurative style, she uses oil paints in order to create colorful pieces. As the artist is originally from Brittany, she has a passion for the marine world, even though her favorite subject seems to be the portrait, as she can directly affect the spectator.
