This young artist was born in Georgia, in 1997, with Russian origins.
As far as art is concerned, she has always liked to draw. Especially from nude female models.
Mariami then became interested in photography two years ago, thanks to an option she chose at the faculty.
The artist then bought a Nikon camera. Her studies in languages did not correspond to her, she left the university called ´ Malesherbes Sorbonne ´ in the 17th and decided to send her candidacy for a civic service which was based on the use of the camera, in a holiday centre in Aveyron.
It was taken, and went there with great enthusiasm at the end of February 2017. During this civic service, she was sent to the Basque countries to pass two photography courses, including one with a professional photographer named Boris Sensamat.
It was a very rewarding experience on the human, cultural and psychological level. After this, she decided to follow her desires and enrolled in the performing Arts license. In parallel, she followed drawing classes.
Mariami decided to buy another camera: a Canon eos60d (the same model she used during my civic service) and proposed to my classmates to pose for her.
The artist has always preferred the portrait that is unique in its kind. According to her, "A portrait will never be the same". Indeed, the face changes every day, the gestures are authentic to each person and the relationship between the model and the photographer is reflected in the cliché.
She always has the impression that she knows more about a person that she is photographing, as if she showed her true personality and, as a result, removed that barrier that faces us at the beginning.
Mariami made her first exhibition at Free Is Art Gallery in January 2019.
