Patrick Melchior

Born in Tourcoing in the North in 1958. Graduated from Skéma Lille in 1984, he moved to New York at the age of 24. After two years in a subsidiary of the General Foods group, at the age of 26, he created the American subsidiary of the ULN group, the leading French dairy group at the time. Returning to Paris in 1990 at the age of 30, he opened the French subsidiary of the American group Microprose, thus starting a long career in video games where he spent 25 years managing subsidiaries for American, English and Japanese groups. In 1996, he took over the management of the publisher EIDOS (Lara Croft, Hitman, etc.) for France, Benelux and Canada. In 2008, he was appointed European boss of the Eidos group, based between London and Paris. He left the video game industry in 2014, and after some time of reflection, going through photography and writing, in 2016, he discovered with relish and a lot of emotion the creation of conceptual graphic art paintings, combining drawing, aesthetics, decoration, work with materials (wood, Dibond, Canson, etc.)… Today, more than 150 paintings have been created, and derivative products being designed.
