Joëlle Imbert

"Psychologist by training, I have held responsibilities in the field of Human Resources management in large international companies and in consulting. Mother of three children and today grandmother of four grandchildren, I led my career in parallel with my two passions: writing and painting. I have written and published several books related to my area of expertise. I also write stories, short stories, poems, which I may publish one day I have been painting for over forty years.

Self-taught, I copied the great impressionist painters for ten years, in particular Cézanne and Monet. At that time I painted with a brush and oil. After a few years of interruption, I continued my apprenticeship this time by copying the painters of the Paris school in particular Nicolas de Staël and Serge Poliakoff. And then one day I started, giving free rein to my creativity. I painted for myself, for pleasure, without having the idea of exhibiting my works. I took part in a first exhibition very recently, two years ago. In September 2018, at the Salon des Arts in Vaucresson, I had the satisfaction of seeing that one of my paintings won an award. "
