Marie-Edith Charni Robinne

Marie-Edith Charni Robinne was born in 1965 in Rouen and grew up in different places, from La Manche to Morocco, from Guinea to Alsace.

After studying art and communication, she created and managed a press relations agency specializing in publishing. At 35, she resumed her studies and became a psychoanalyst, while continuing her artistic apprenticeship in artists' studios: Béatrice Bauer, Olivier Walh, Catherine Charlot and Sandrine Wely. Attached to paper and color, Marie-Edith Charni Robinne questions herself, in her artistic practice, on interiority and the quest for meaning. His creative work develops both as a field of experience and of understanding the world. As a motionless traveler, she dialogues consciously and unconsciously. From 2009, she exhibited in various professional fairs and galleries: Salon de la peinture à l'eau, Paris Artistes or the Les vergers de l'art gallery. She is invited to set up her universe in personal exhibitions: Espace KKE, Atelier 41 and Atelier 36, Galerie Charlemagne or the Auditorium in Paris and the Ile de France.

She takes part, with her performance “The communities of work”, in institutional events such as the Night of Museums in 2013 for the Marie Curie Museum or # NuitBlanche2017 for the 14th arrondissement town hall. The same year, she was invited by the Arkane association to a residency in Morocco with 30 international artists. On this occasion, Marie-Edith Charni Robinne realizes, for the first collection of the Contemporary Living Art Museum of Aït Ben Haddou, a cardboard kakemono “The weaving souls”.
