Biography
Richard St-German was born in Montréal in 1954, he obtained a Masters degree in two dimensional design from the University of Québec. He then left to Europe in 1987 and made a layover that lasted 6 years in Italy, then his artistic journey brought him to the South of France in 1993. From his home in Cévennes and from his studio located in Alès, the artist continues his job as a graphic designer, illustrator, painter and as he likes to called it " imagist" His rounded lines, give life to wacky characters, flowers, fruits, vegetables and colored stained-glass windows that let the light through. Inspired by a little bit of everything, he captures the essence of an object or subject to highlight its curbes and shades. He likes to surprise his audience with each one of his exhibitions, always with the same joy and enthusiasm. The joy of life of this artist has not finish propagating. His pieces have won several international prizes and have been collected in the portfolio of the Public Archives of Canada.
