Presentation

After a professional career as an interior designer (a graduate of the Camondo school and a student of the Louvre school in Paris), I have for twenty years especially rehabilitated places steeped in history and charm.

Following the birth of my fourth son, this profession obliging me to travel far and restrictive, I had to choose a sort of sedentary lifestyle by deciding to become a professional painter. So I set up my workshop in old Lyon and created a dry pastel school, which has been welcoming students of all ages for 30 years.

My work is inspired more particularly by the human being who fascinates me: his looks, his silhouettes, his environment, his feelings and his scenes of life are always my favorite subjects, which does not prevent me from regularly escaping. towards an approach of abstraction. From the age of 6, I sketched the walls of my room which earned me many reprimands. This need to always have something to draw has proven to be vital and I have never regretted it because afterwards at the end of my many trips as a solitary adventurer, I realized that it is much more necessary to know drawing than speaking languages It has saved my life several times!

I paint every day except when I travel the world to feel, to immerse myself, to be inspired by new places, to share experiences and to enrich myself with strangers. And also to exhibit in galleries and salons. My camera never leaves my banana and there's not a day in my life that I haven't pressed my lens. My photos only serve to make me relive these sensations and feed my inspiration.

During one of my last professional trips to Morocco, I learned from my Moroccan workers the technique of "Tadelackt". That since then I practice with enthusiasm, will, control and passion, a technique that currently I am the only one in the world to practice. This observation, I was able to do it again recently after having exhibited in China, India, Japan, the US, Brazil and Europe. Hence the nickname given to me by artistic journalists: "the Pope of Tadelakt". The only paintings in the world that are "recommended to stroke". Precious paintings that give you a real surprising and sensual pleasure to the touch, because they are in a way made of reconstituted marble upside down!
