Presentation
Eric Decastro's painting, full of texture, layering of acrylic and various materials, was influenced by Jackson Pollock and more by French artist Paul Rebeyrolle, who lived his last days in Burgundy, near the village where is born Decastro.
His works are situated between maximalism and minimalism, action and reaction, full of energy, where dance, spirituality and poetry come together creating a remarkable symbiosis.
Since 2010 his series of "Centralities" has an absolute purpose: the painter converges his monochromatic painting towards the center, where the perspective lets us glimpse an infinite fleeting point.
The artist lives in Germany. Some of his paintings can be found in the most famous art collections in Germany, Switzerland and Peru, such as the Reinhard Ernst Collection, SAL-Oppenheim / Deutsche Bank Collection, Sarasin Bank Collection and Colección Hochschild.
