Jean Numa Caux

Contemporary French artist, Jean Numa Caux was born in 1974 in the red city of Marrakech where he had his inspiration in its ramparts, its atmosphere and its colors, especially the ultramarine blue or the Majorelle blue of the famous French orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle. This intense, slightly purplish blue that inspires relaxation.

Jean Numa Caux came to painting not out of a simple vocation, but out of necessity, as if he had to express at all costs and urgently through color what his gaze captured over the days.

Through his paintings Jean Caux reveal to us part of his universe of his reflection and his questioning, also it is a very personal work nourished by the multiple influences of contemporary, eastern and western art, each canvas is born from a great complicity between two sensibilities and two countries of heart.
