Bea Herry Guibet

Béatrice Herry Guibet was born on June 24, 1964, in Landerneau, she currently lives and works in Concarneau by the sea.

In parallel with a school career at the Lycée de Landerneau, she very quickly took part in various painting workshops with different Breton artists, including Fanch Bernard and Gérard Venturelli.

Béa Herry studies the history of art and prepares her competition for the Fine Arts of Angers where she will study from 1983 to 1988, she discovers other disciplines such as engraving, sculpture or photography which will lead her to mature her vocation as a painter and plastic artist.

What sets Béa Herry apart is her spirit of curiosity and constant research into new techniques and emerging artistic trends which will lead her to exchanges with artists from the African continent.

In 1989, she took autonomy in various professional experiences ... commissions for frescoes, portraits and workshops ... In parallel with these activities, she became involved in the creativity of her works.

She also took a keen interest in community life by creating the association "Courants d'arts mor", took up the post of cultural assistant and delegate to "Small towns of character" in 2014 and by investing in different schools as a speaker.

Béa Herry had the desire to carry out work, creation and a commitment in a personal life together as a mother of 4 children since 1992.

Certain influences will be inspiring for her, such as Modiglianni, a highlight of her research through line, color and the strong subjectivity of the characters.

Key moment of her research was her encounter with oil painting, she discovered the use of glazes through different mediums and the superposition of material such as the mounted paper that her characters give to see in a luminous resonance.
