Bertrand Sordelet

Due to his profession as a decorator, Bertrand is every day in search of new techniques and methods in order to create new textures or imitations of reality based on paints and coatings.

His paintings allow him to pass a more personal message to his viewers.

Through faces treated in black and white on colored backgrounds, he wishes to highlight the fact that each of us contains in him a quantity of good energies, good wills and beautiful thoughts despite the difficulties of life and the sufferings that everyone can be brought to experience.

It is therefore natural that this first series of faces is inspired by photos of Lee Jeffries or Steve Mccurry. Two photographers whose work he greatly appreciates because they highlight and emerge from the shadows, people for whom life's difficulties are a daily reality.
