Emmanuel Michel was born in 1970. Since the 90's he travels the world and devotes himself to painting and sculpture. Member of the French explorers' society, he draws his inspiration mainly from his travels on the five continents. His work is resolutely turned towards the man in his daily life with his culture, his rites, his simplicity.
Back in his studio, he shares with us his emotions and encounters at the end of the world through his drawings, paintings, engravings and sculptures. He realizes numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, regularly collaborates with different magazines, participates in documentaries, and realizes public commissions. A dozen of books relate his work. Emmanuel Michel was born in 1970 and lives and works in the south-west of France. He had his first exhibition in 1988. The same year he entered the school of restoration of painted works in Avignon.
From 1991 to 1993, he works two years for the CNRS in Karnak, Egypt, to restore mural paintings and obtains his restorer's diploma in 1994.
From then on, he paints, sculpts and begins to travel...
