Vanessa Dakinsky

Born in: 1985

Vanessa Dakinsky was born in 1985, she currently works in Rennes. She has a degree in Fine Arts and she pursues a personal career. Her works use references from the popular culture and from classical art through her practice of oil painting. Surrealism combined with mystery, leads to Freud's "Disturbing strangeness". Some parts of her paintings give the impression of a photorealism. Her creations oscillate between realism and onirism. Vanessa Dakinsky's painting are enthusiastic, thrilling and shocking. The colors of the flames exude the underlying heat. The magazine Cutch said "this vital side is supported by oil painting, favoring precision of the colors, a quality of shades that produces a great represetation of the flesh" In 2013, her works went beyong borders and they can be now seen in England, Norway, Canada, USA.
