Born in 1959 - Ireland
Vincent Hawkins was born in 1959. He is a visual artist based in London.
A graduate of the Maidstone College of Art in Kent, England, he received numerous awards and was featured in exhibitions all over the world; he was a part of Tracey Emin's "Curated room" project at the Royal Academy in 2008.
Vincent Hawkins paints and draws on canvas, cardboard and on paper. His work is spontaneous, he improvises and he never knows what the result will be.
His work is engaging and intuitive. One might think of Klee?s "The serious play" or of Matisse when seeing Hawkins?s work, but his personality and painting style are unique.
