Traversi Guerra

Traversi Guerra is a painter, with a lyrical and abstract style. She was born in Borgonovo, in the North of Italy but most of her childhood took place in Paris. She now lives and works in Bergame, Italy.

Traversi Guerra has been painting for over 45 years. She tries to merge her interest for sciences and progress with her artistic experience and her personal expression. In her artworks, she likes to convey emotions, feelings, and conflicted states of mind to turn them into joyful passions.

She uses acrylic and thick materials to experiment and discover (in an unpredictable way) a new manner to express herself. That's why she uses "Cebos", an acrylic paint with water which has a great plasticity and a metallic aspect.

She's quite influenced by Van Gogh's post-impressionism and Georgia O'Keefe modernism, even though she knows how to preserve her own style, one which don't belong to any known artistic movement.
