Tadashi Ono is a photographer born in Tokyo, Japan. He studied at the National Superior School of Photography of Arles. He spends his time between Kyoto and Paris, cities where he lives and works.
In his questioning about the elationship between architecture and the environment, he studies the way man inhabits earth, and highlights the different forces that challenge him, such as the artificiality of human constructions compared to nature, urbanity compared to rurality, peripheries compared to the center.....
Since 2011, he has been in charge of the contemporary photograpy-art section of the University of Art and Design of Kyoto.
His work has been exhibited at the French National Library and at the Museum of Modern Art of Tokyo, among other places. In 2009, he was curator at the Biennale of the Museum of Quai Branly.
