Rutger ten Broeke, Born in Arnhem in 1944 where he spent his youth. He studied at the Rietveld Academy from 1964 tr 1967. Ten Broeke worked initially as a fashion photographer and was a professor at the Nederlandse Filmakademie in Amsterdam and at the AKI-Artez art academy in Enschede. From 1970 he engaged in an oeuvre of non assigned photography, in which for the bigger part he searched for a synthesis between the landscape and the female nude. His photography was acquired by numerous prestigious collections like The Chicago Art Institute, the ICP (International Centre of Photography NY), Het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Museum Fuer Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. His book: "Forty Years" will be available in the gallery during the exhibition.
