“His paintings represent wild plants growing in our urban space and which we unfairly qualify as weeds. Since 2012, this Korean artist, who graduated from Fine Arts in France and Korea, has made Weed Herbs her central theme of work. Like a botanist, she does meticulous research on wild plants. Their uncontrollable and disobedient character contrasts with a rationalized urban space that rejects anything that does not follow its rules.
