Din Matamoro

Matamoro focuses on the scientifc in his approach to visual perception, analyzing the intuition, responses and reactions of our mind when we observe a piece of art.

In his works we see constant movement, a growing vibration that goes beyond the physical barrier separating the tangible and the intangible. Matamoro doesn't pursue a concept of the fnal work, but rather his pieces open the way for others. He stays in a relentless search for the light, a key point in Matamoro's optical research. The work develops a light that is diffuse and translucent, with a halo of transparency. Our gaze goes deep into the piece without returning, losing itself in a sort of fog of color where shades and refections emerge.

Through his paintings, Din Matamoro materializes the images we generate in our minds. Our feelings, thoughts, imaginations, and the places we perceive in our brains are refected in his paintings and drawings, travelling from a calculated abstract technique to the digital representation of mental images discovered in decontextualized common bodies. These return us to the primary essence of art.
