Photographer and collagist, Nieves Mingueza lives London where she shoots her photos and collects the materials for her collages from vintage photographs, old cinema magazines, antique papers and encyclopedias.
Her inspiration comes from the Victorian Age, silent films, some film makers and artists like J. Cornell, C. Marker, T. Dreyer, G. Maddin, Grete Stern, Toyen, Max Ernst, Paul Nougé and many Surrealist ones. She stands on black & white intensity to tell stories through her works.
