Stefan Rydéen

The artist Stefan Rydéen lives and has his studio in Örebro, Sweden. He works as a painter and sculptor and in many different materials. Stefan Rydéen has exhibitions around Sweden, and often does public art in different cities. He works as artistic leader for major art projects, and teaches at art schools. He has attended several art schools and courses, including University of Art, Crafts in Stockholm. He also works as curator of public art in the city of Örebro. He has been bought by companies and Swedish municipalities, Swedish Art Museum and the Swedish Arts Council in Stockholm.

“I see myself as a Nordic painter and perceive myself as working in that tradition, but also relate to this tradition with freedom. I often take walks in nature, and have a very close relationship with these rooms. I want my art to be felt in the body and to be spiritualized ahead of the word. I resist all disenchantment”
