Presentation

Franco-Swiss artist, born in 1968 in Geneva. First, a production worker in a chemical factory, he then chose a path of therapist, opened his office and practiced for 7 years. In search of the feeling of peace, self-taught, after a stay in China in 2000 then in Japan in 2002 followed by a long questioning, he finds his way in painting, liberating element of his creativity and expression of his sensitivity on edge . Since April 2005, he has devoted himself totally to painting. “China taught me the curves, the nuances. Japan, the straight line, the rigor ”. Patrick Robbe Grillet has taken an unknown path. He quit his jobs. He gave up the salary, the comfort of a home. He abandoned the landmarks that linked him to society. He rubbed shoulders with the homeless world. He has hit rock bottom, rock bottom. He found strength in it. A force that wants to express itself without restraint. To answer the question of "who am I?", It is through painting that she does so, most often in monochrome. Artist listed with the Akoun collaboration. Red, purple, gray, green, the paintings by Genevan Patric Robbe-Grillet revisit the entire color palette, but separately. Most of his works are indeed monochrome. Compositions that would encourage the viewer to step out of space-time and find inner peace. Patrick Robbe-Grillet's paintings are only color. Through monochrome creations, the self-taught painter seeks to create unity. Defined as an “artist of silence”, PRG seeks to find inner peace by means of spirals that encourage deep self-abandonment. “I consider art as a bridge towards oneself, a bridge towards infinity, towards our source which through creation seeks to show us that we are alive,” he adds. This former therapist launches into painting following a trip to Japan. Shaken up by the land of the Rising Sun, he is deeply questioned when painting is presented as a liberating element of his creativity and the expression of his sensitivity. Since 2005, the Geneva artist has devoted himself full time to acrylic, charcoal and oil. His works are exhibited at the Hôtel de la Paix in Geneva and at the ICRC presidential office. Patrick exhibits 120 works in the canton.
