Presentation

Khaled Al Saai who studied calligraphy with the Turkish masters, creates landscapes of letters and words, drawing inspiration from the surrounding colors. Well ahead of his time, contemplative and confident, he was not only one of the driving forces behind the practice of modern Arabic calligraphy, but also a passionate advocate and activist for the influence of this magnificent art. The recognition of his rightful place in this mode of artistic expression comes to him not only from galleries, universities and museums around the world, but also from fellow calligraphers and friends who on many occasions have awarded him the title of Master of Calligraphy, whether contemporary, modern but also traditional. At first, it was difficult for him to get out of the dilemma, painter or calligrapher, until he came to accept that the two could live together very well, and relying on the 7 pillars of Arabic Calligraphy , Thuluth, Naskh, Tualeeq, Kufic, Diwani, Diwani Jali Jali, Khaled developed his painting. Khaled Al Saai's fascination with writing began and grew stronger in Syria, in a family whose visual, musical and poetic artistic creativity was present every day. His work is often a reflection of his emotions and his childhood discoveries.
