Carolyn Rogers

This musician, who has become a stained glass restorer, is passionate about glass. It melts it, twists it, colors it. "I try to capture life, spiritual elevation, the joy of living, the perpetual movement that animates the universe" she confides. But before delivering her work to us, far from our gaze, the glass, she breaks it, the sand, crushes it into powder, assembles it, fires it and anneals it according to a long, very technical process and at high temperature. She domesticates the incandescent paste in various ceramic molds in which she incorporates pigments; sometimes also, she associates glass with wood and metal
