Claire Dorsett

Born in 1985 in Ipswich, England, Claire Dorsett lives and works in London. She studied painting at the University of Brighton as well as at the Slade School of Fine Arts.
Just as the title of her 2012 exhibition at the George and Jørgen gallery says, Claire Dorsett's works "do the talking". When you look at them, the bright and vivid colors are displayed without any compromise and leave the viewers put their own words in the paintings. The colors are often limited to one or twoin one painting, the elements represented evoke childhood and are just precise enough in order to make themselves "understood" quickly.

Claire Dorsett's paintings leave a great freedom of interpretation to the viewer, all the while leaving a strong impression, difficult to forget. Present in many art fairs, exhibitions and competitions, she is one of the emerging contemporary artists on the international scene.
