Living near Lake Baikal shaped my art, inspired by its contrasts. I explore nature, emotions, and existence, using eco-friendly materials like clay, plaster, and acrylic.
Irina Tkachenko, Emerging artist.
Irina resides and works in the city of Irkutsk, Siberia, near the shores of Lake Baikal. Among the numerous group exhibitions in which Irina has participated, it is worth noting her participation in "PLAS" at Galerie Bruno Massa in Seoul, South Korea, as well as the International Contemporary Art Fair, Art3f, in Paris, France.
Currently, she is diligently working on her upcoming solo exhibition, "Harmony," which will be showcased at Molbert Gallery in St. Petersburg in 2024.
Throughout her life, Irina has resided in Siberia, in close proximity to Lake Baikal. When she embarks on creating her next piece of art, she immerses herself in it wholeheartedly, much like diving into the waters of Lake Baikal, meticulously documenting each step of the process. This creative journey both energizes and relaxes her. Art serves as a means for Irina to express herself when words fall short. Through her art, she explores her inner self, her emotions, and her feelings. The ultimate aim of her inner voyage is to unravel the mysteries of existence.
In her quest, she delves into the various facets of nature, from the world of flora to the human condition, using ecologically friendly materials such as clay, plaster, acrylic, and fabric.
