Flo. M

Flo.M questions the relationship between humans, plants and animals. They cohabit in my universe in a strange and vegetal dialogue. It is their plastic beauty and the emotional strength that flow from them that interest me. The trees are very present there; I am amazed by their stability and their fragility, their quivering, their breathing, the very symbol of the link between earth and sky.

I seek to share my contemplations, to return to the essentials, and to offer a moment of animal freedom to rediscover our humanity.

Regarding my technique, the choice to use ballpoint pen drawing and engraving was imposed because of their practice where each line translates into a strong inner search since it is irrevocable. Today, where many images are stored digitally and find themselves erased as quickly as they were created, I find a refuge there to create in another time cleared of urgency and close to vegetal softness.

I sometimes add plants that fertilize my creations and remind me of the moment of collection and a walk.

Thus, the word "Germination" came naturally in my approach since my drawing grows and grows like a plant and with plants!

Coincidence or not, my signature: "Flo-M" is the homonym of the Phloem which is one of the conductive tissues of the sap.
