Caroline Leite

Caroline Leite was born in 1977 in Versailles. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of her hometown, and currently lives in Ile-de-France.

A photographer, painter and sculptor at the same time, Caroline Leite pursues an artistic approach where the notion of time is primordial. Ruin and degradation particularly are her favorite sources of inspiration. In each piece, the material is part of a milieu, an environment, a construction. Her photographs are available on paper as well as on a more unusual support, concrete. "I collect images, materials, I focus in the aspect of the ruins, of the destruction and use a new framework", says the artist, "as if to remind us that time does not disappears but we do"

Caroline Leite exhibits her work regularly in France and participates in numerous contemporary art fairs in Europe.
