Through an invitation to slow down, to observe our world through harmoniously nuanced and changing colors, “Détours” expresses the exception of volatile time. A palette of shimmering colors combined with the artist's gesture allows us to represent the energy that is vital, that which we need but which escapes us. The acceleration of time, the precipitation of movement are sublimated in each of the paintings presented at the exhibition. Wielding the artistic oxymoron in “What to do with the void?” » or “I thought I was hallucinating”, Eric Ruelland also plays with our emotions bluntly. This sincerity is undoubtedly a major asset which allows the spectator to recognize the authenticity of the harmony.
