Arnaud Rinuccini
France • 1977
Presentation
Introduced to photography during a long stay in the United States as a teenager, Arnaud Rinuccini understood that his professional life would be done with a camera in his hand. The endless hours spent in the red light of the laboratory and the printing of hundreds of black and white films led him to study at the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière.
Arnaud initially turned to architectural photography, finding himself in agreement with the idea of having to construct an image that remains totally at the service of the space it represents.
At this stage, the Artist understands that the whole sensitivity of the photographer consists in knowing how to hide behind his subject to bring it to light. While continuing his collaboration with decoration magazines, companies or even architectural agencies that rely on the quality of his author's gaze, Arnaud Rinuccini gradually feels the real need to create a work of his own. This is how he finds through the landscape the way to express the relationship between memory and imagination.
Marked by the evocative force of Artists such as Debussy, Nicolas de Staël, or even Georges Rousse, he loves photography for its wonderful ability to open up other worlds, to overcome the constraints of a simple reproduction of what surrounds us. Arnaud Rinuccini's works are regularly exhibited and are part of private collections in France.
Arnaud Rinuccini's photographic work focuses on the definition of memories. Indeed, the Artist wonders about what we remember and what we forget, what is altered or transformed when we recall an event. Arnaud Rinuccini stands out with his photographic works of landscapes recomposed into a whole from a few fragments of reality.
The resulting image brings together moments, superimposes sensations, points out errors, shifts, inversions that reconstruct our memories, stimulating our imagination. Contemplative and poetic, Arnaud Rinuccini emphasizes in his works his taste for natural spaces.
