Presentation

Caroline Maurel is a painter and a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD), Paris.

She is fascinated by toys and sees in them an exacerbated reflection of the worst and best the best things that society creates, the incarnation of human fantasies. The artist places the toys in poses as if they were human, and composed her paintings as enigmas.

She associates herself with a neo-pop-narrative artistic current and uses a hyperrealistic technique.
