Biography

Mattevski is not the painter of a gratuitous art solely focused on the search for aesthetic implications. He tries through a whole network of graphic signs, sometimes free, sometimes geometric, to express the most intimate vibrations of his mind. Its visceral relationship with the silence of the global universe is its message.

Mattevsky's painting denounces a perpetual movement in an infinitely distant world. We find there the three basic forms of Euclidean geometry: square, circle and triangle. From this point of view, the abstract or figurative notion loses its traditional meaning.

Where does the straight line go endlessly?

The answer to this question will perhaps give us the possibility to glimpse a new vision of space. Is this the unique chance for all of us to visually break free from the flat surface?

Without a doubt, Mattevski is heading towards this world where the sun and the stars announce his daring and personal research. His paintings release immense energy, an action of non-place.

In this earthly world of rapid transformation, the return to the source of matter and energy is a fundamental attitude for Mattevski.

To grasp the pictorial, spatiodynamic reality.

It is normal that this process is based on the orderly multiplication of shapes and lines around a central mass: life.
