Vito Imburgia was a scholar, immersing us in the Italian culture and in particular in his native Sicily. He was a sculptor, but also a historian, a poet. We find here a masterpiece The Standing Man Astolfo allegory mixing Leonardo da Vinci, Garibaldi and Dante. He sculpted long, stylized characters with expressive and lively faces, observers of society and who naturally took the name "Badauds".
