Frank Horvat

Frank Horvat was born in 1928 in Abbazia, Italy. He has studied academic drawing but has devoted himself to photography. A polyvalent artist, his work spans on various art forms without limiting himself to just one means of expression.

He has worked as a traveling reporter and a fashion photographer, and photography is a means of expression that doesn't care too much about codes or fashions. He has worked for magazines such as Life and Vogue.

His style is informed by Cartier Bresson's strict principles but also by the digital technologies of the last decade of the 20th century. This oscillation between staging and simple testimony makes each of his images unique.
