Jacques Robert

Jacques A. Robert was born April 5th, 1944 in Paris. A figurative painter, he enjoys a prestigious listed status in the online market.

At the age of 14, he started painting with oil but it was not until the age of 30 that he took the next step and exposed his works to the public for the first time. Since then, he has accumulated exhibitions and awards, in France as well as abroad.

Jacques Robert explains that his work is about freedom and sincerity. He uses the "plein-air" (outdoor painting) process, which allows him to "breathe his art at the top of his lungs." This is particularly evident in his interpretations of water, whether they are marine landscapes or paintings of Venice. Robert paints spontaneously, using excessive gestures that are in harmony with the material and color. His work is created and presented without calculation, and is always intensely emotional.
