Aiste Ramunaite works in a field of linocut. The strain between figurative style and abstraction is as important component as the balance between line and colour. Her works contradicts to traditional apprehension of graphic art, according to this, it is the ideational art first of all.
Aiste Ramunaite early works according to MO museum art critics fall in the section so called neoexpressionism as a part of Lithuanian Graphic Art collection. In the past few years Aiste Ramunaite finds herself in quite unique and new approach to linocut -abstract illusion, dream like vision created by lines and subtle use of colour.
