Biography
Bermudian artist, Gherdai Hassell was born in 1991. Hassell's collages are a celebration of Blackness. Using archives and her own personal family narratives, Hassell creates compositions which combine her ethnographic approach with an Afrofuturist aesthetic.
In 2022, Hassel was awarded the Best of Bermuda Visual Artist award. The same year, her work was exhibited in the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art, South Africa.
