

Biography
Maritza Bernal was born in Bogotá, Colombia (1959). At an early age she excelled in drawing, painting and other artistic skills. Her talent has been cultivated with patience and dedication over decades. Her oil on canvas studies began in Bogotá, while she was working as an Occupational Therapist.
When she moved to the United States in 2003, she dedicated herself completely to exploring different painting styles. She focused on oil on canvas and after that, she became actively involved in numerous exhibitions in Argentina, Ireland, Dublin, Dubai, Beijing, Colombia, USA, among others. She is accredited as an AICOA professional artist. Barcelona. Spain. June 2010.
The delicacy of her work and the perfect handling of colors and nuances, creates beauty and elegant art.
Influenced by the visual experiences of her native Colombia, Maritza takes color to its fullest extent, to create vibrant paintings. In her work you can see different themes, including landscapes, miniatures, still lifes, doors, flowers, animals, abstract painting, she now specializes in the style of figurative realism. In her work, we can see the emphasis placed on colors and shapes, with which she maintains a constant commitment, always seeking harmony and integrity.
