Lksir

France

Biography

Lksir grew up in the 80s. He was first touched by Franco-Belgian comics and Japanese graphics. These were his first models. Since then, he has practiced drawing on a daily basis. As a teenager, he took muddy paths and invested in disused hangars to appropriate and master the spray can, a tool that would remain predominant in his creative approach. There, inspiration was nourished by the paintings of n°6, os gemeos, popay. Then he moved on.

Along the way, he stops at the works of a large number of artists, true references, essential: from Egon Schiele to Seb Jarnot, via Antoni Tapiès or Georges Rousse…
Their influence will give Lksir's line, as well as the creatures to which it gives birth, a visual identity of its own. After a period marked by a colorful approach, all in volumes, Lksir is less and less figurative, to assume today a more radical bias. A single-colored, energetic line, has become the basis of his personal work, mixing, crossing, making his lines of life spring forth.
