Marie-Pierre Scarton

Marie-Pierre Scarton was born in 1966 in Bordeaux. She graduated from the Ecole des beaux arts de Bordeaux (1988 à 1992). Before that she studied graphic design for advertising.

After many years of working in advertising and real estate, she moved to Saint Paul de Vence, France, where she now has her studio.

She is represented by the gallery Casa d'Amor in Saint Paul de Vence. In 2015 Marie-Pierre Scarton had a show in Miami, USA. Her research focuses on the harmony of colors and matter. She seeks the emotion brought by the instants when she applies paint on canvas. She works on the texture and the thickness of the painted surface and its transparency.
